Mickey Gilley
Mickey Leroy Gilley, born on March 9, 1936, in Natchez, Mississippi, is an American country music singer and musician. He initially worked as a sideman for his cousin, Jerry Lee Lewis. Gilley gained significant success in the country music scene after his appearance in the John Travolta movie, "Urban Cowboy." Some of his popular songs include "Stand By Me," "Don't The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing Time," and "Room Full of Roses." His notable albums include "Talk to Me" (1994), "The Very Best Of Mickey Gilley" (1991), and "That's All That Matters to Me" (1980).
