Stanley Cowan
Stanley Earl Cowan was an American songwriter, film composer, and publicist born on February 3, 1918, in New York City. He was the son of songwriter Rubey Cowan. After completing high school, he moved to Hollywood in 1937 to pursue a career in music. Cowan achieved significant success as a songwriter in 1941, with notable hits including "Do I Worry?" and "'Til Reveille," the latter of which was popularized by Bing Crosby and Kay Keyser and His Orchestra. In addition to songwriting, he composed scores for the Ice Capades and films, including the "Hopalong Cassidy" series. Later in life, Cowan transitioned from music to public relations, joining the firm Rogers & Cowan, co-founded by his brother Warren Cowan. Stanley Cowan passed away from heart disease on December 13, 1991, in California at the age of 73.
