Banda El Limon
La Original Banda El Limón de Salvador Lizárraga is a renowned Mexican banda music group that originated in 1965 in El Limón de los Peraza, Sinaloa. The band was initially led by Pedro Aramburo, Encarnación Peraza, Lino Quintero, Carlos Peraza, and Pedro Peraza. Over time, Salvador Lizárraga became the leader, bringing professionalism and a deep passion for the group's music. The band is known for its contributions to the banda sinaloense style, performing rancheras, corridos, cumbias, baladas, boleros, and sones.

In 1990, La Original Banda El Limón released its first album, "Puro Mazatlán," marking a significant innovation by featuring their own vocalist, a first for Sinaloan bands. The group has since released over 50 albums, with ten appearing on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and seven on the Regional Mexican Albums chart. They have achieved notable success with hits like "Al Menos" and "Di Que Regresarás," both reaching No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.

The band has been honored with multiple awards, including Latin Grammys for Best Banda Album for "Soy Tu Maestro" (2010) and "La Original y Sus Boleros De Amor" (2013), as well as the Billboard Mexican Music Award for Excellence in Regional Mexican Music in 2012. Despite internal conflicts in 1997 that led to a split and the formation of La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, La Original Banda El Limón has continued to thrive under the leadership of Salvador Lizárraga's descendants.

As of 2025, the band is celebrating its 60th anniversary, highlighting its enduring legacy and influence in the genre. The current music producer, Juan Lizárraga, is planning star-studded collaborations to honor the band's history while looking toward the future.
