Andrei Ivanovitch
Andrei Ivanovitch, born in 1968 in Bucharest, Romania, is a renowned Romanian-born Russian classical pianist. He is the great-grandson of the famous Romanian composer Ion Ivanovici, known for "The Waves of the Danube." Ivanovitch pursued his musical education at prestigious institutions, including the Central Music School, the Leningrad Conservatory, the Russian Music Academy in Moscow, and the Higher School of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Between 1992 and 1994, Ivanovitch achieved significant success by winning prizes at six international piano competitions, including the Stiftung Tomassoni International Piano Competition in Cologne, Germany, and the William Kapell International Piano Competition in Maryland, USA. In 1994, he won the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ivanovitch made his successful debut at New York's Lincoln Center in 1996, which marked a turning point in his career, leading to increased touring activity. He has performed as a soloist and with prestigious orchestras such as the Russian National, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and Baden-Baden Philharmonic, as well as with the Taneev Quartet.

He is celebrated for his interpretations of Russian piano music and has been compared to legendary pianists like Dinu Lipatti and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. Ivanovitch is an honorary member of the Chopin Society since 2003 and has participated in the Canadian film "Glenn Gould: The Russian Journey," performing Bach's "The Art of Fugue."

In addition to performing, Ivanovitch is a Senior Lecturer at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory and frequently serves as a judge in international competitions. His discography includes contributions to various classical music collections, highlighting his versatility and skill as a pianist.
