Bleu
William James McAuley III, known professionally as Bleu, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and producer born on July 18, 1975. Originating from the United States, Bleu has been active in the music industry since 1999, working within genres such as power pop, pop rock, indie, and acoustic.

A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, Bleu initially gained recognition in the Boston music scene for his dynamic live performances and collaborations with other musicians. His debut effort, A Bing Bang Holidang, was a charity project for the Boston Institute for Arts Therapy and featured local musicians. Bleu's early work led to his victory in the WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble in 2001, which subsequently earned him a Boston Music Award for "Best Boston Band" and a major label contract.

Bleu's 2003 album, Redhead, released on Aware Records, was praised as "an all-around power pop treat," and included the song "Somebody Else," featured on the Spider-Man soundtrack. Following his departure from Aware Records, Bleu pursued various musical projects, including collaborations with bands such as LEO and LoudLion, and a duo with Alexz Johnson named Johnson & McAuley.

In addition to his solo career, Bleu has achieved significant success as a songwriter and producer, working with renowned artists like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, John Oates, Michelle Branch, Hey Violet, Big Freedia, and the Jonas Brothers. He has won multiple Independent Music Awards for his work with Air Traffic Controller.

Bleu's compositions have been featured in soundtracks for films such as The Hills Have Eyes 2, and he wrote and produced the soundtrack for the Disney film Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, including a duet with KT Tunstall. His contributions to music and education extend to creating a master's degree course on songwriting sync for Berklee College of Music.
