Moos
Moos, born Moustaphe Al-Alamy on August 29, 1974, in Toulouse, France, is a French singer of Moroccan descent. Raised in the multicultural neighborhood of Mirail, he was influenced by a variety of musical styles, including African raï, funk, and R&B. Moos began his musical career with a performance on Radio Toulouse and released his first single, "Qui me donnera des ailes," in 1998, which gained significant airplay in France.
His breakthrough came with the release of his second single, "Au Nom de la rose," in 1999, which topped the charts in France and Belgium (Wallonia) for several months and achieved Diamond certification in France. That same year, he released his debut album, "Le Crabe est érotique," which reached number 11 on the French charts and remained among the best-selling albums for 11 weeks.
Despite the success of his album, Moos's follow-up single, "Délicate Chatte," did not achieve similar success due to its video being censored. Moos's music often explores themes of sensuality and melancholy. In addition to his music career, Moos has opened a teahouse and a nightclub in Toulouse. He continues to release music, with songs like "Comme une étoile" and "Olivia" being unofficially distributed online.
