Jordy
Jordan Shulman, known professionally as Jordy, is an American pop singer-songwriter born in Northbrook, Illinois. He is the grandson of educational psychologist Lee Shulman. Jordy was involved in theater during his high school years and later attended Boston University, where he earned a degree in literature.
Jordy's music career began to gain traction with the release of his song "Be With Me" in 2018, which was later signed and distributed by Armada Music. He followed this with the release of "Just Friends," which premiered on Billboard. His debut album, "Mind Games," was released in 2021, showcasing his pop sensibilities.
In 2023, Jordy released the single "Story of a Boy," a queer reinterpretation of Nine Days' early 2000s hit "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)." The song, which became a viral sensation on TikTok, is part of his second album, "Boy," released the same year. This album further cemented his place in the pop music scene, with its themes resonating particularly within the LGBTQ+ community.
Jordy has been recognized for his work with nominations for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist at the GLAAD Media Awards, as well as nominations from the Queerty Awards and iHeartRadio Music Awards. He has appeared on popular television shows such as The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Today show, and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Jordy currently resides in Los Angeles, California, and continues to engage with his audience through his music and live performances. His discography includes several albums and EPs, with a new album titled "Sex With Myself" set for release in 2024.
