Def Bond
Def Bond, born Éric Dorgal, is a French rapper, songwriter, composer, producer, and radio host. He was discovered, launched, and produced by DJ Kheops, a DJ and member of the group IAM, under the Def Music label. Initially, he was part of the Marseille-based group Soul Swing, which was formed in the late 1980s alongside DJ Rebel, DJ Majestic, DJ Ralph, Faf Larage, and K.Rhyme Le Roi.
In 1998, Def Bond gained public recognition with the tracks "Secret défense" and "Tu me plais," the latter featuring singer K-Reen and included in the soundtrack of the film "Taxi." In 1999, he released "Old School Love," featuring Oliver Cheatham, which reached the 53rd position on the French charts. His debut album, "Le thème," was released on May 24, 1999, and peaked at the 47th position on the French music charts. The album was reissued on April 2, 2007.
