Silvio César
Silvio César, born Sílvio Rodrigues Silva on August 14, 1939, in Raul Soares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a renowned Brazilian singer and composer. He began his professional singing career in 1960, performing as a crooner with the orchestras of Waldemar Spillman and Ed Lincoln. Concurrently, he pursued legal studies and graduated from the Faculdade Nacional de Direito in 1964.

Silvio César made his mark in the Brazilian music scene with his debut LP "Amor Demais" in 1961, which included collaborations with Ed Lincoln. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he released numerous albums and singles, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the romantic and bossa nova genres. Despite his association with schmaltzy pop-soul music, he also contributed to the samba rock movement of the 1970s.

César's discography is extensive, featuring notable albums like "Só Tinha De Ser" (1965), "Silvio Cesar" (1968), and "A Minha Prece De Amor" (1970). His work is characterized by lush orchestrations and a blend of ballads and uptempo tunes. Over the years, he continued to release music, including "Amigos Da Bossa" (1997) and "Pra Você" (1998).

In addition to his musical career, Silvio César appeared in the 1965 film "Na Onda do Iê-iê-iê," acting alongside Renato Aragão and Dedé Santana. His contributions to Brazilian music have left a lasting impact, with a career spanning several decades.
