Vlatko Stefanovski
Vlatko Stefanovski, born on January 24, 1957, in Prilep, PR Macedonia, Yugoslavia (now North Macedonia), is a renowned Macedonian guitar virtuoso known for his contributions to ethno-rock and jazz fusion music. Raised in a theatrical family, Stefanovski began playing guitar at the age of 13. He gained fame as a founding member of the band Leb i Sol in 1976, which became a significant name in the former Yugoslavian music scene. With Leb i Sol, he recorded 13 albums between 1978 and 1991.

Stefanovski is celebrated for his innovative fusion of rock and roll with Southeastern European folk elements, particularly from North Macedonia, often using odd meters and non-traditional scales. His career spans various collaborations, including an acoustic partnership with Miroslav Tadić and performances with his VS Trio, which features his son, Jan Stefanovski, as a drummer.

Throughout his career, Stefanovski has played a variety of guitars, including custom-made models and modified classics like the Fender Stratocaster. He has also composed music for films, theater, and television, and his work includes collaborations with numerous artists across different genres.
