Caramelo Girls
The Caramella Girls are a fictional bubblegum dance group created in 2008, following the success of the Nightcore version of the song "Caramelldansen" by the Swedish music group Caramell. The Caramella Girls were developed as part of a marketing campaign by Remixed Records, in collaboration with the Japanese record company QUAKE (now known as Exit Tunes), to capitalize on the viral popularity of "Caramelldansen," particularly in Japan. The group features animated characters Vera, Mindy, and Nadine, who first appeared in a 3D animation performing "Caramelldansen (Speedy Mixes)" on their YouTube channel, which was launched on May 19, 2008.
The Caramella Girls have since released various singles and albums, including "Supergott (Speedy Mixes)" and "Sweet Decade," and have explored different versions of "Caramelldansen" in multiple languages. They have continued to engage with their fanbase, referred to as "Candies," through various interactive campaigns and collaborations, such as the "Ask The Girls" series and the "Caramella Girls Blocky" channel. The group remains active, with ongoing projects and releases, including a collaboration with Nekø Tape in 2023 and a plushie campaign with Makeship in 2024.
