Lizzi Waldmüller
Lizzi Waldmüller, born Felicitas Karoline Müller on May 25, 1904, in Knittelfeld, Styria, Austria, was a celebrated Austrian singer and actress. She began her theatrical career in the 1920s in Innsbruck and gained prominence in Graz, Vienna, and Germany. Her breakthrough came with her role as Rachel in the 1939 film "Bel Ami," directed by Willi Forst. Waldmüller was known for her performances in musical films and operettas, and she became famous for the Paul Lincke song "Ich bin die Frau, von der man spricht." She was married to actor Max Hansen until their divorce in 1938. Tragically, her life and career were cut short when she died in an air raid on Vienna on April 8, 1945, just a month before the end of World War II. Her memorial is located at Friedhof Hadersdorf-Weidlingau in Vienna.
