Odeon-Tanz-Orchester
The Odeon-Tanz-Orchester, founded in Munich in 1982 by a group of students, is renowned for its authentic revival of music from the 1920s to the 1940s. The orchestra is celebrated alongside ensembles like "Max Raabe & dem Palastorchester" and the "Pasadena Roof Orchestra" for bringing the nostalgic sounds of the golden era to life. Since 1993, it has been led by Sissi Gossner, one of the few female conductors in Europe. The orchestra comprises top-tier German musicians, including solo trumpeters from the HR, WDR, and SWR Big Bands, as well as members of the "Orchesters Hugo Strasser."

The Odeon-Tanz-Orchester has performed internationally, including at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and on the Jörg Pilawa Show "Rekordfieber." They have also appeared at opera, press, and corporate balls, and New Year's concerts at the Munich Prinzregententheater. Their repertoire includes timeless classics like "Ich bin die fesche Lola," "Sing, Sing, Sing," "In The Mood," and "Take the A-Train," evoking the "Golden Age of Jazz." They also perform dance music from the 1950s and 1960s, covering all standard and Latin American dances.

The orchestra can perform in various formations, from a trio to an 18-piece big band, and often includes a singer, tap dancers, and a vintage entertainer. Sissi Gossner, the orchestra's leader, is a versatile musician who studied violin and piano at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich and took masterclasses with Rony Rogoff in New York. As a violinist and accordionist, she has participated in numerous music productions and tours across Germany. Under her leadership, the orchestra has released three CDs and performed at concerts and galas across Europe, along with radio and television appearances.
