Arne Huelphers
Arne Gunnar Valter Hülphers was a prominent Swedish jazz pianist and bandleader, born on April 4, 1904, in Trollhättan, Sweden. Early in his career, from 1924 to 1927, he played at the club Felix-Kronprinsen and continued to perform in dance bands across Sweden into the early 1930s. In 1934, Hülphers established his own ensemble, which evolved into one of Sweden's most significant jazz big bands, touring Europe and recording until 1940. His band featured notable musicians such as Miff Görling, Zilas Görling, and Thore Jederby.

Later in his career, Hülphers shifted focus to popular music, leading an orchestra that included Fred Bertelmann. He married singer Zarah Leander in 1956, whom he had previously accompanied as a bandleader, and they remained together until his death. Hülphers was also married to Greta Matilda Wassberg from 1934 until their divorce in 1955, with whom he had one child. He passed away on July 24, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden.
