Dolores Vicki Silvers
Dolores Vicki Silvers was an American songwriter born on November 7, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is best known for writing the popular big band song "Learnin' the Blues," which was originally recorded by Philadelphia singer Joe Valino with the Gene Kutch Orchestra. The song gained widespread fame when it was recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1955 with Nelson Riddle & his Orchestra, reaching significant chart success. Silvers passed away on December 16, 2007, due to pancreatic cancer.
