Reg Presley
Reg Presley, born Reginald Maurice Ball on June 12, 1941, in Andover, Hampshire, England, was a renowned English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the 1960s rock band The Troggs. Before his music career, Presley worked as a bricklayer. He eventually left this occupation when The Troggs' song "Wild Thing" became a hit, reaching number one on the US charts in 1966 and selling over five million copies.

Presley was instrumental in The Troggs' success with other hits like "With a Girl Like You" and "I Can't Control Myself." He also penned "Love Is All Around," which gained renewed fame when covered by Wet Wet Wet in 1994, staying at number one on the UK Singles Chart for fifteen weeks.

In addition to his music career, Presley had an interest in the paranormal, notably involving himself in UFO research. He retired from music in 2012 after suffering several strokes and passed away from lung cancer on February 4, 2013, in his hometown of Andover. Presley's contributions to rock music, particularly through The Troggs, left a lasting legacy in the genre.
