P. Juvet
Patrick Juvet (August 21, 1950 – April 1, 2021) was a Swiss singer-songwriter and model, renowned for his contributions to the European pop and international disco music scenes. Born in Montreux, Switzerland, Juvet was drawn to music from a young age, influenced by his father's work with radios and televisions. He began piano lessons at age seven and later developed a keen interest in The Beatles.

At 18, Juvet moved to Paris and briefly pursued modeling in Germany before returning to Paris in 1970. His music career took off after meeting French producer Eddie Barclay, leading to his first single in 1971. Juvet gained recognition for writing "Le Lundi au soleil" for Claude François and collaborated with Jean-Michel Jarre on the 1973 album "Love". That year, he represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Je vais me marier, Marie", finishing 12th.

Juvet's collaboration with Jarre continued with the 1977 album "Paris by Night", featuring the hit "Où sont les femmes?". His international breakthrough came in 1978 with disco hits "Got a Feeling" and "I Love America", produced by Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo. "I Love America" was a significant success, charting in multiple countries and reaching the top ten in the US disco chart.

In 1978, Juvet released an English-language album in the US, featuring "Where Is My Woman?", an English version of "Où sont les femmes?". He also composed the soundtrack for David Hamilton's film "Laura", which sold 650,000 copies despite limited release.

As disco's popularity waned, Juvet returned to France in 1982 with the album "Rêves immoraux", but it did not replicate his earlier success. He faced personal challenges, including depression and alcoholism, and moved across Europe and the US before settling back in Switzerland in the late 1980s.

Juvet returned to music with the 1991 album "Solitudes", featuring collaborations with Françoise Hardy and others. In 2005, he published his autobiography, "Les bleus au cœur: Souvenirs", where he discussed his career and bisexuality.

Patrick Juvet passed away in Barcelona in 2021 due to cardiac arrest. He is remembered as a versatile artist who left a lasting impact on pop and disco music.
