Josh Wink, born Joshua Winkelman on April 20, 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a renowned American electronic dance music DJ, producer, and label owner. His career began at the young age of 13 when he worked as an apprentice to a DJ in Philadelphia. Wink's early musical education included piano and clarinet lessons, and he developed a passion for DJing, eventually teaching himself to mix beats. By 1988, he had met fellow DJ King Britt, and together they began creating original tracks.

Wink is a pioneering figure in the American rave scene of the early 1990s, known for his contributions to the tribal forms of techno and house music. In 1994, he co-founded Ovum Recordings with King Britt, which became a significant platform for his music and other artists.
