He grew up in the Cinecittà Est neighborhood of Rome, the son of Rodolfo Ramazzotti, a construction worker, and Raffaela Molina, a housewife. From a young age, Eros showed a passion for music, beginning to play the guitar at age seven and writing songs with encouragement from his father, an amateur pianist.
