BeBe began his career as a background singer for his brothers, The Winans, and later gained prominence alongside his sister, CeCe Winans, as part of the duo BeBe & CeCe Winans. They initially gained attention as the "PTL Singers" on Jim Bakker's television show, The PTL Club, where they recorded the popular album "Lord Lift Us Up."
