F.J Meyers
Frank Joseph Myers, born on July 3, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, is an acclaimed American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. Known professionally as Frank J. Myers, he has made significant contributions to the music industry, particularly in country music. Myers began performing at the age of 11, influenced by his father, Melvin "Pee Wee" Myers, a champion fiddle player and singer who taught him guitar.
After graduating from Northridge High School, Myers moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1981 with his wife, Belinda, to pursue a music career. He initially worked with Eddy Raven as a guitarist, band leader, and road manager, where he honed his songwriting and production skills. During this period, Myers co-wrote several successful songs, including "I Got Mexico" and "Bayou Boys."
Myers' songwriting career took off with the hit "You and I," recorded by Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle, reaching number one on the country charts. His collaboration with Gary Baker led to the formation of the duo Baker & Myers, and they achieved significant success with the Grammy-winning song "I Swear," recorded by John Michael Montgomery and All-4-One.
Throughout his career, Myers has written for numerous artists, including John Michael Montgomery, Lonestar, and Crystal Gayle, achieving 12 number-one hits and 20 top ten songs. His work includes hits like "Once Upon a Lifetime," "I'm Already There," and "My Front Porch Looking In."
