Helmy Kressa
Helmy Kresa was a German-American songwriter and arranger born on November 7, 1904, in Meissen, Germany, and passed away on August 19, 1991, at Southampton Hospital on Long Island, New York, USA. He began his career in music in 1926 as the musical secretary, principal arranger, and orchestrator for the renowned composer Irving Berlin, who could neither read nor write music. Kresa eventually became the general professional manager of the Irving Berlin Music Company.

One of Kresa's notable contributions to music is the song "That's My Desire," for which he composed the music in 1931. The song gained popularity after being recorded by Frankie Laine in 1946 and was later featured in Martin Scorsese's film "Raging Bull" (1980) and the video game "L.A. Noire" (2011). Additionally, Kresa's arrangement of the song "All of Me" was the first published version of this classic piece. His work has been performed and recorded by numerous artists, including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Buddy Holly, among others.
