Alberto Pestalozza
Alberto Pestalozza (circa 1851 – 8 June 1934) was an Italian composer born and died in Turin. He is best known for composing the popular Piedmontese song "Ciribiribin" in 1898, in collaboration with Carlo Tiochet. Pestalozza's work has been recorded and performed by various artists and ensembles over the years, reflecting the enduring popularity of "Ciribiribin." His compositions were recorded by several orchestras and vocalists, including notable performances by the Victor Orchestra and jazz/dance bands like the Benny Goodman Orchestra. Pestalozza's contribution to music is primarily recognized through this iconic song, which has been featured in numerous recordings throughout the early to mid-20th century.
