Wes Felton
Wesley Ellington Felton, known professionally as Wes Felton, is an American singer, poet, rapper, and actor hailing from Washington, D.C. Born into a musical family, his father, Hilton C. Felton, was a jazz pianist who performed with notable artists like George Benson and Grant Green. Wes Felton's career began with open mic nights, and as a teenager, he performed on the Lollapalooza tour and at the Apollo Theater. He has shared the stage with artists such as Mos Def, De La Soul, and Meshell Ndegeocello, and was mentored by UK Soul legend Omar. Complex Magazine dubbed him "the future folk-soul hero" for his work on Prince Paul's album, Politics of the Business.

Felton's musical collaborations include working with JLaine and TFox under the name Antithesis, resulting in two releases on Tasteful Licks Records. He also partnered with Raheem DeVaughn to form The Crossrhodes. In addition to his music career, Felton studied theater at Carnegie Mellon University and starred in the hip-hop play Rhyme Deferred. He has appeared in films such as Multitudes of Mercies and Babylon Central.

As a writer, Felton began penning poetry at the age of 13 and has published two books. His discography includes numerous albums, with releases spanning from 1996 to 2018. Felton continues to be a significant figure in the fusion of hip hop, soul, and jazz genres.
