Tony Hiller
Anthony Toby Hiller, known as Tony Hiller, was born on July 30, 1927, in Bethnal Green, London, England, and passed away on August 26, 2018. He was a prominent English songwriter, record producer, and music publisher whose career spanned from the 1950s until 2018. Hiller was best known for his work with the pop group Brotherhood of Man, for whom he wrote and produced several hits, including "United We Stand" (1970) and "Save Your Kisses for Me" (1976), the latter winning the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK.

Hiller began his musical career as part of a song and dance duo called The Hiller Brothers with his brother Irving, performing alongside notable artists of the time. He wrote over 1,500 songs recorded by more than 500 artists, including Elton John, Olivia Newton-John, and Andy Williams. His song "United We Stand" became a worldwide standard, recorded by over 100 artists and used as an anthem of solidarity, especially after the events of 9/11.

Throughout his career, Hiller received several accolades, including three Ivor Novello Awards and a Gold Badge Award for his contributions to the British music industry. His legacy includes a vast catalog of music that continues to be celebrated and performed worldwide.
