Josef Jandrisits
Josef Jandrisits, born on April 6, 1949, in Ilz, Oststeiermark, Austria, is a distinguished musician and composer. His musical journey began at the age of six when he started learning the accordion, motivated by his grandfather. He later transitioned to guitar and became involved in various bands from the age of 16, including the Rocking Stars and Starfighters, focusing on dance music.

In 1968, Jandrisits co-founded the band Music Machine with Schiffkowitz, Boris Bukowski, and Erich Reinberger, covering songs by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. By 1971, he formed the rock band Mashuun with Gert Steinbäcker, Peter Szammer, Franz Posch, and Petrus Wippel, known for their original compositions. The band relocated to Germany in 1973 but dissolved after a year. Jandrisits then joined the influential Deutschrock band Guru Guru, contributing as a guitarist on tours and three albums.

Returning to Austria in 1982, he collaborated with Schiffkowitz to write the hit "Fürstenfeld" for the band S.T.S. He continued to work with various musical groups, including the Coco Band, and participated in theater productions. Jandrisits also taught at the Summer Academy in Greece and engaged in video production, creating travel documentaries about Southern Europe, particularly Greece.

Throughout his career, Jandrisits has been active as a composer, producer, and performer, collaborating with numerous artists and producing music across various genres. His work spans decades, contributing significantly to the Austrian music scene and beyond.
