Espinoza's early life saw him moving across various cities in Sinaloa, including Ahome, Los Mochis, and Mazatlán, before settling in Mexico City in 1937. Initially pursuing a medical degree, Espinoza's career took a turn when he became involved in the radio industry in 1938, working at XEQ-AM.

Espinoza's film career began in 1938, and he became a prolific actor, appearing in numerous films throughout the 1940s to the 1960s.
