Frank Morin
Frank Morin is a versatile multi-instrumentalist primarily known for his work with The Sir Douglas Quintet and The Grateful Dead. His main instrument is the saxophone, but he also plays drums, flute, harmonica, harp, horn, maracas, and marimba, and provides background vocals. Morin's career includes collaborations with notable acts such as Chuck Berry, Blue Cheer, Mother Earth, and Quicksilver Messenger Service. He is featured on the DVD "Live From Austin, Texas: Sir Douglas Quintet," which captures their performance on "Austin City Limits" on January 21, 1981. In addition to performing, Morin has been active in production, film soundtracks, and teaching into the 2010s.
