Harry McAuliffe
Harry C. McAuliffe was an American western singer, songwriter, and radio performer, born on May 9, 1899, in Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia. He was active in the music industry from 1929 until the early 1960s. McAuliffe was known for his work on station WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia, during the 1930s and 1940s. He also performed under the alias "Big Slim Aliff" and other variations of his name. McAuliffe passed away on October 13, 1966, in New York. His discography includes covers of songs such as "Brakeman's Blues" and "Train Whistle Blues," originally by Jimmie Rodgers.
