Eddie O'Loughlin
Eddie O'Loughlin is a prominent figure in the music industry, known for his role as the president and founder of Next Plateau Entertainment. He co-founded Midland International Records for RCA and has a reputation as a hands-on music executive. Throughout his career, O'Loughlin has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing international stars and Grammy winners, including John Travolta, Salt 'N' Pepa, and Nina Sky, among others. Under his leadership, Next Plateau became a significant player in the indie, Latin dance, hip-hop, and pop music scenes, achieving numerous Gold and Platinum certifications.
In the 1980s, Next Plateau was at the forefront of introducing electronic music to American dance floors and later expanded into the Latin dance and hip-hop genres. The 1990s saw the label's transition into mainstream pop, producing several Top 10 hits.
