Billy Bizor
Billy Bizor, born on September 3, 1913, near Middleton, Leon County, Texas, was an American blues singer and harmonica player closely associated with the Texas Blues genre. He is best remembered for his collaborations with his cousin, the renowned blues artist Lightnin' Hopkins. Bizor's musical career gained attention during the blues revival of the 1960s, which highlighted his previously obscure talent.

Bizor's recordings primarily took place in Houston, Texas, where he participated in several sessions with Hopkins. Notable recordings include those from July 18, 1961, and February 17, 1962, where he contributed his harmonica skills to tracks that would later be included in albums such as "Walkin' This Road By Myself" and "Lightnin' & Co." His only solo session was recorded between 1968 and 1969, produced by Roy Ames, but the resulting album, "Blowing My Blues Away," was not released during his lifetime.

Billy Bizor passed away on April 5, 1969, at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, Texas, and was buried at Gosto Prairie Cemetery in Centerville, Leon County, Texas. Despite his brief career, Bizor's intense and emotionally charged performances left a lasting impact on the blues genre.
