Joe Martin
Joe Martin is a modern-day troubadour and accomplished singer-songwriter from Lancashire, UK. Over the past decade, he has performed for tens of thousands of people across the UK and Europe, gaining significant attention on both sides of the Atlantic. Influenced by legendary artists such as Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Townes Van Zandt, Jason Isbell, and Kacey Musgraves, Joe's music is characterized by its storytelling and lyrical depth.
Joe's career highlights include performing at the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee, a venue he was inspired to play at after watching the show "Nashville." This experience was further enriched by meeting and receiving advice from his songwriting idol, John Paul White of the Civil Wars. Joe has also had the opportunity to collaborate with Aaron Raitiere at RCA Studios, a place renowned for its musical history.
In 2017, Joe released his debut EP, "Small World," which was followed by a series of singles recorded with the UK Americana band Danny and the Champions of the World. His 2021 EP, "Bound For Lonesome," features songs written during a 2018 trip to Nashville and was recorded with the Chorlton Country Club. Joe's live album, "The First Five Years," was part of a Kickstarter initiative to fund his debut studio album, "Empty Passenger Seat," released in 2022. He plans to record his second studio album, "Alone In Valentine," in 2025.
