Andrew Cummings
Andrew Cummings is a distinguished baritone opera singer recognized for his rich, flexible voice and dramatic stage presence. His career includes notable performances in operas by Verdi, Puccini, and Wagner, among others. Cummings made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2010 in the title role of Rigoletto with the New York Lyric Opera. He is celebrated for his portrayal of Macbeth, Germont, and Scarpia, and has performed with various opera companies, including Opera in the Heights and Atlanta Opera. In 2013, he debuted in South America with the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra. Cummings is also known for his quick study abilities, stepping into roles such as The Count in Strauss’ Capriccio at short notice. He has been a guest artist for the Metropolitan Opera Guild and has performed contemporary music, including the American premiere of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' Kommilitonen! with Juilliard Opera.
