Antonio Romero Monge
Antonio Romero Monge is a Spanish musician born on February 17, 1940, in Dos Hermanas, Andalusia, Spain. He is best known as one half of the musical duo Los del Río, alongside Rafael Ruiz Perdigones. The duo was formed in 1962 and gained international fame with their 1993 hit single "Macarena," which became a worldwide phenomenon after being remixed by the Bayside Boys in 1995. Los del Río has released over 20 albums since their debut, starting with "Luces de Sevilla" in 1967. Antonio Romero Monge, through his work with Los del Río, has significantly contributed to the Latin pop and dance music genres, achieving notable success and recognition, including winning the World's Best Selling Spanish Group and World's Best Selling Latin Group at the World Music Awards in 1997.
