Tito Allen
Roberto Romero, known professionally as Tito Allen, was born in 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Celebrated for his smooth voice and polished singing style, he earned the nickname "El Elegante de la Salsa." Tito Allen began his musical career in 1962 and moved to New York City in 1972, where he joined Ray Barretto's band. He gained prominence with the hit song "Indestructible" in 1973. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Allen collaborated with many salsa superstars, including Ruben Blades and the late Tito Puente.
