Zelijko Marasovich
Željko Marasović (3 November 1951, Zagreb, Croatia – 3 August 2021, Los Angeles) was a Croatian American pianist, organist, and composer known for his contributions to classical and film music. He studied piano with Ivo Maček and organ with Vlasta Hranilović and Žarko Dropulić at the Zagreb Academy of Music, graduating in 1974. Furthering his education, he attended the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and earned a master's degree in music from the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles.

Marasović was recognized as one of the leading organists of his generation in Croatia, performing with the Zagreb Philharmonic and at prestigious venues such as Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. He recorded extensively for the Jugoton label between 1974 and 1985 before relocating to Los Angeles.

In the United States, Marasović was associated with Pepperdine University, where he performed and composed for theatre productions. He held the position of resident organist at Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church in Irvine and was involved with the Hour of Power program. His filmography includes scores for various television series and films, such as "Ellis Island," "Testimony," and "The Show Must Go On." His work in theatre and film received international acclaim, and he collaborated with the Bethune Theatre Danse company on notable projects. Marasović was also actively involved with the American Guild of Organists, serving in leadership roles within the organization.
