Frederick Loewe
Frederick Loewe, born Friedrich (Fritz) Löwe on June 10, 1901, in Germany, was an American composer renowned for his collaborations with lyricist Alan Jay Lerner. Together, they created a series of successful Broadway musicals, including "Brigadoon," "Paint Your Wagon," "My Fair Lady," and "Camelot," all of which were adapted into films. One of Loewe's notable compositions is "On the Street Where You Live," written in 1956 for the musical "My Fair Lady." Loewe passed away on February 14, 1988.
