Osvaldo Farrés
Osvaldo Farrés was a Cuban composer known for his timeless love song "Quizás, Quizás, Quizás," which he composed in 1947. The song was inspired by a woman he loved who would never give him a straight answer to his questions of love, responding only with "Quizás" or "Perhaps." This song became a global sensation, adapted into English as "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" by Doris Day, and featured in the film "Strictly Ballroom." It was also translated into French as "Qui sait, qui sait, qui sait," performed by artists like Luis Mariano and Line Renaud. Legend has it that the woman who inspired the song eventually said yes and became his wife.
