Al J. Neiburg
Allen J. Neiburg, known professionally as Al J. Neiburg, was an influential American lyricist born on November 22, 1902, in St. Albans, Vermont. He pursued his education at Boston University before embarking on a career in music. Neiburg made significant contributions to popular music, particularly in the jazz and pop genres during the early 1930s. He is best known for co-writing the classic song "I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" with Doc Dougherty and Ellis Reynolds, which became a standard in both jazz and pop music, famously performed by Louis Armstrong.

Neiburg also co-wrote "It's the Talk of the Town" and "Under a Blanket of Blue" with Jerry Livingston and Marty Symes, both of which were popular hits and recorded by numerous artists. His work was recorded by a wide range of performers, including Perry Como, Dean Martin, Doris Day, and jazz greats like Django Reinhardt and Art Tatum.

In addition to his songwriting, Neiburg ran his own music publishing company, further contributing to the industry. He passed away on July 12, 1978, in New Haven, Connecticut, leaving behind a legacy of timeless songs that continue to be celebrated.
