Frank Eyton
Frank Eyton (30 August 1894 – 11 November 1962) was an English popular music lyricist renowned for co-writing the lyrics to Johnny Green's "Body and Soul" (1930) alongside Edward Heyman and Robert Sour. Eyton's career was predominantly characterized by collaborations with Noel Gay and Billy Mayerl in the realm of London-based musical theatre. Notably, with Mayerl as the composer, Eyton co-wrote with Desmond Carter the lyrics for the celebrated sequence "Side by Side" from "Over She Goes," which was filmed in 1938. His most successful theatrical work was the 1948 musical farce "Bob's Your Uncle," created in collaboration with Gay. Additionally, Eyton and Gay penned the popular song "All Over The Place" for the 1940 film "Sailors Three" and contributed songs to the 1942 film "Let the People Sing." Eyton was also involved in writing the soundtrack for the 1947 boxing film "Body and Soul."
