Richard Finch
Richard Raymond Finch is an American composer, producer, engineer, and arranger, born on January 23, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. He is also credited as a drummer and bassist. Finch is known for his work with the group KC & The Sunshine Band, contributing to popular songs such as "Please Don’t Go," "That’s the Way (I Like It)," "Get Down Tonight," "Boogie Shoes," "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," "I’m Your Boogie Man," "Keep It Comin’ Love," and "Give It Up." Additionally, he collaborated with George McCrae on tracks like "Rock Your Baby" and "I Get Lifted." His lacquer cuts are often marked by Ⓡ in combination with SSE or SSℇ in a circle, a practice he started in 1974.
