Marita Gründgens
Marita Gründgens was a German actress, chansonnière, and cabaret artist born on May 23, 1903, in Düsseldorf as Maria Theresia Gründgens. She was the sister of actor Gustaf Gründgens. Marita trained as a pianist at the Cologne Conservatory and received vocal training from Johanna Syrée. Her career began in August 1929 when she debuted at the Studio Düsseldorf of the Westdeutsche Funkstunde AG. By 1931, she was regularly engaged with the school and children's radio programs there. She participated in various radio shows and later hosted her own, such as "Lieder aller Länder."

Gründgens had minor roles in films like "Liebe, Tod und Teufel" (1934) and "Die tollkühnen Penner/Komm in die Wanne, Schätzchen" (1971). In the 1936 short film "Unter dem Pantoffel," she appeared as a singer alongside Wilhelm Strienz. She contributed to approximately 40 record productions, with notable recordings including "Ich wünsch' mir eine kleine Ursula" and "Wenn ich groß bin liebe Mutter," showcasing her talent as a children's voice imitator, which greatly enhanced her popularity.

Marita Gründgens lived in Solingen for a significant part of her life, where she passed away on December 24, 1985, at the age of 82.
