Cindy Church is a celebrated Canadian country and folk artist, hailing from Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. She has made significant contributions to the music scene since 1987 as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, known for her emotive voice and interpretive songwriting. Church gained early experience performing with Ian Tyson's band, the Chinook Arch Raiders, and later joined the Great Western Orchestra, which earned a Juno Award nomination in 1990.

Embarking on a solo career in the early 1990s, Church released her debut single "The Road to Home" in 1992, followed by her first solo album, "Love on the Range," in 1994. Her work garnered her the Female Artist of the Year award at the 1993 Alberta Country Music Awards and Juno Award nominations for Best Country Female Vocalist in 1995 and 1996. Church's subsequent albums, "Just a Little Rain" and the self-titled "Cindy Church," further established her as a prominent figure in Canadian music.

In 1993, Church co-founded the acclaimed group Quartette with Sylvia Tyson, Caitlin Hanford, and Colleen Peterson, later joined by Gwen Swick. Quartette received multiple Juno nominations and won the Canadian Country Music Association's award for Vocal Collaboration of the Year in 1994. Church is also a member of the group Lunch At Allen's, alongside Murray McLauchlan, Ian Thomas, and Marc Jordan, and has performed in a tribute to Hoagy Carmichael.
