Mike Rashkow
Michael Rashkow (July 18, 1941 – January 23, 2013) was an influential American songwriter and record producer. He is best known for co-writing the song "Mary in the Morning" with Johnny Cymbal, a track that was recorded by notable artists such as Elvis Presley and Glen Campbell, among others. Rashkow's career in music began after a stint as a golf professional and a golf equipment manufacturer's representative. He transitioned into the music industry, working initially as a recording engineer at several studios in New York.

Rashkow's songwriting career took off with his partnership with Johnny Cymbal, leading to the creation of the hit "Mary in the Morning," which achieved significant commercial success. He also collaborated with Ellie Greenwich, forming Pineywood Productions and Pineywood Music in the late 1960s. Together, they wrote and produced for artists like Dusty Springfield, The Daily News, and The Whatnauts. Rashkow's contributions to music extended beyond songwriting, as he also founded an advertising agency called T:MC.

His early life was spent in New York City and Florida, and he served in the U.S. Air Force as a psychiatric medic. Despite lacking formal credentials in the music industry, Rashkow carved out a successful career through his talent and collaborations, leaving a lasting impact on the music world.
