Vladimir Minin
Birth and Education: Born on January 10, 1929, in Leningrad, he graduated from the Leningrad Choral School in 1945 and entered the Moscow Conservatory.
Career Highlights: He began his career in 1949 as a choirmaster in the State Academic Russian Chorus of the USSR. In 1951, he became the artistic director of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army in Poland. In 1972, he founded the Moscow State Academic Chamber Choir, which he led until 2019.
Accolades: Minin was a National Artist of the USSR, a winner of the USSR State Prize, and a holder of the Order "For Merits to the Fatherland".
