Eric Rigler
Eric Rigler is an acclaimed American musician renowned for his mastery of the Uilleann pipes, Great Highland Bagpipes, and tin whistle. Born in Los Angeles, Rigler's fascination with bagpipes began at a young age, leading to an illustrious career that has spanned over five decades. He is celebrated as "the most recorded piper in history," a testament to his prolific contributions to film, television, and popular music.
Rigler's evocative performances have graced the soundtracks of iconic films such as "Braveheart," "Titanic," "Million Dollar Baby," and "Road to Perdition." His music has also been featured on television shows like "Crossing Jordan," where his arrangement of an Irish tune served as the opening theme during the first season. Additionally, Rigler's live performances have included playing "Amazing Grace" at former President Ronald Reagan's funeral in 2004.
Beyond his solo work, Rigler formed the Celtic world fusion band Bad Haggis and collaborated with the Los Angeles-based rock band the Young Dubliners.
