Andrei Ivanovich, born in Bucharest in 1968, is a distinguished Russian pianist and professor, celebrated as an outstanding representative of the Russian piano school. He hails from a musical lineage, being the grandson of Romanian composer Ion Ivanovitchi, known for the waltz "Waves of the Danube." Ivanovich's education includes prestigious institutions such as the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, the Moscow Conservatory of Music, and the Higher Conservatory of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Ivanovich has garnered international acclaim, winning several prestigious piano competitions, including the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio. His career features performances at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, and collaborations with esteemed orchestras such as the Russian State Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.

As a recording artist, Ivanovich has released 15 albums, interpreting works by composers like Mozart, Debussy, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, and his favorite, Chopin. His performances are noted for their depth and respect for the music, often compared to the recordings of young Ashkenazy and Dinu Lipatti.

Ivanovich's influence extends to cinema, with his interpretation of Bach's "The Art of Fugue" featured in the award-winning Canadian film "Glenn Gould: The Russian Journey." Currently based in China, he contributes to cultural exchanges between Russia and China, teaching at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
