Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra
The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra is a prominent music ensemble in Georgia, founded in 1993 by the esteemed Georgian conductor Jansug Kakhidze. Since 2002, the orchestra has been under the artistic direction and chief conductorship of Vakhtang Kakhidze, Jansug's son, who is also a renowned composer, conductor, and pianist. Over the years, the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra has elevated its standards to international levels, performing in various countries including France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Poland, Israel, and Russia.

The orchestra has graced prestigious venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Salle Pleyel in Paris, and the Big Hall of Moscow Conservatory, among others. It has also participated in several international music festivals like the Tibor Varga Festival in Sion and the Ankara International Music Festival. Collaborating with world-famous musicians such as José Carreras, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Gidon Kremer, the orchestra has also ventured into popular music, performing with artists like Michel Legrand and Patti Austin.

The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra is known for its diverse concert programs, which include works by classical, romantic, and 20th-century composers, as well as promoting Georgian classical and modern compositions. It has recorded over 150 musical pieces for international sound recording companies like SONY Classical. The orchestra also plays a significant role in Georgia's cultural scene, organizing the annual International Music Festival "Autumn Tbilisi" and the Djansug Kakhidze International Music Festival, fostering creative collaborations with global music stars.
