Dino Fekaris
Dino George Fekaris, born on January 24, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an acclaimed American music producer and songwriter. An alumnus of Wayne State University, Fekaris began his career at Motown in the late 1960s, collaborating with Nick Zesses and contributing to hits for artists like The Naturals and Rare Earth. He co-wrote "I Just Want to Celebrate" and "Hey Big Brother" for Rare Earth and "Love Me" for Diana Ross. After leaving Motown in the mid-70s, Fekaris partnered with Freddie Perren to create the iconic 1978 song "I Will Survive," famously recorded by Gloria Gaynor. This collaboration earned him a Grammy Award in 1979. Fekaris and Perren also wrote hits like "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "Reunited" for Peaches & Herb and "Makin' It" for David Naughton. Throughout his career, Fekaris has been recognized for his significant contributions to the music industry, including multiple Grammy nominations.
