Scott Cutler
Scott Cutler is an American songwriter, musician, record producer, and music executive, originally from Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for his work as a member of the alternative rock band Ednaswap, with whom he co-wrote the song "Torn." This track gained international fame when covered by Natalie Imbruglia in 1997, becoming a worldwide number one airplay hit and spending 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay Chart in the US. "Torn" sold an estimated four million copies, achieved Platinum status in three countries, and was named the "number one radio single of the 1990s" by radio personality Rick Dees. Ednaswap released three albums between 1995 and 1998 and toured with bands such as No Doubt, Weezer, and Better Than Ezra.

Cutler has collaborated with numerous top female artists, including Madonna, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Sinéad O'Connor, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, and Jordin Sparks. He co-wrote "Piano in the Dark" with Brenda Russell, which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 31st Annual Grammy Awards. In 2007, he won the Critic's Choice Award for Best Song for "Listen" from the film Dreamgirls, which was also nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.

In 2007, Cutler co-founded the music publisher Songs of Pulse with Josh Abraham and Anne Preven, later becoming a partner in Pulse Recording. The company has been involved with hits like Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." Pulse Recording operates studios in Los Angeles and Burbank, California, and has partnered with Creative Nation, a Nashville-based music management and publishing company.
